Glencoe, Scotland – Holiday Destination For Outdoors Lovers
The majestic Glencoe in Scotlands West Highlands is a truly dramatic landscape that is unequalled anywhere else in the UK. Tragedy in Glencoe isnt limited to recenty history. In fact the macabre history of Glencoe is infamous in Scottish history and has been the scene of treachorous murder and tragedy. A small visitor centre is a great place to discover the natural and human history of the area situated in the middle of Glencoe.
Also in the middle of the Glen is possible Britains most fantastic beer garden! The Claichaig Inn is situated at the foot of several mighty peaks and many a tired and thirsty traveller spent some pleasurable hours here. It is also a focal point for climbers, hikers and adventurers. People watching as well as mountain watching is a good passtime here!
Glencoe itself is sandwiched at one end by the UK’s highest moor, Rannoch Moor and and at the other end by the beautiful village of Ballachulish athe head of Loch Leven.
