To go out and do lots of activity based things has certainly not ever been an interest of mine. Why should I have to do work on vacation when I do it all year round and work, this of course was the way I used to feel.

However this all changed when I was invited to go on what I thought to be one of those waste of time active holidays however when I received the invite I had a bit of holiday left over and thought screw it I will just go. After booking it I was then told the news that it wasn’t just an active holiday but one of those family adventure holidays.

I really was not happy about getting off the plane and setting off on a weeks walk. I had a change of heart as soon as I started the journey, I could not believe it. One of the brilliant things about this trip was the fact i could get out of the city environment and into the wild. It was so good to just sit back and watch the wildlife as it carries on.

The cases were no worry to us at all as they were being taken from one inn to the next in time for us to use them in the evening when we needed them the most. We only really needed the the things for the day which was really brilliant. I also had no trouble organising a fridge for my Diabetic gear which was a great relief to me as it is something I am always worrying about when I go away.

We actually went on a Costa Rica Holidays but there are so many other active and walking holidays out there to choose from, it changed the way I thought about the world and it may be worth going on one yourself.
