The moment you have reached Wailuku, make a quick right turn on Route 30 and head to Ma’alaea towards the south. Stop at Maui’s Tropical Plantation where you will feast your eyes on a 60-acre wide variety of fruit plantation. Here, you will have the chance to enjoy Maui’s rich agricultural nature, history and some free samples of fresh natural fruits harvested in ideal conditions. You will also be delighted with the different kinds of plants, flowers and trees that are unique and not found in any kind of plantation. If you are a fruit lover, then this is the spot for you. If you go into gift shops, prices are reasonable and inexpensive for that matter. Looking for some Mauna Kea macadamia nuts? Then you can find it inside the plantation at worthy prices and selections.
The Ma’alaea District is located inside Central Maui which is about 6 miles turning south of Wailuku. This is the perfect spot to take relaxing tour of the Maui Ocean Center. This is one of Maui Hawaii’s proudest, newest and is considered as one of the finest marine aquariums. Here, you can find varieties of aquatic life and experience being one with their habitat. You will also find the Ma’a’laea Harbor noted as the home to numerous snorkel cruise and whale watching boats. You can also enjoy fine dining with their exquisite restaurants and be captivated with the invigorating serenity.
