Vacation Ideas for Thanksgiving
New England is the best place to be come Thanksgiving, if you’re looking for vacation ideas for the whole family, here are three perfect New England destinations to choose from.
Mount Washington Hotel, New Hampshire
Built in 1902 at White Mountain National Resort, the Mount Washington Hotel is immense in size, possessing almost 800,000 acres of land. Guests will be treated to an impressive itinerary of activities that include magic lantern shows, holiday craft workshops, gingerbread cookie decorating, storytelling with Santa, early season skiing, and horse-drawn sleigh rides.

Guests can travel to The Rocks Christmas Tree farm riding a horse-drawn wagon and to cap the weekend off, guests can go home – or have it shipped – with a 24” Balsam wreath and a 6’ – 8’ Balsam or Spruce Christmas tree.
The size of rooms in the inn varies, ranging from cozy to standard to spacious, but all equipped with private baths. As for the Kinsman Cottage located next to the inn, guests have a choice between the first and second floors. Both are air-conditioned and equipped with a TV and sleep sofa in the living room or sitting area. The loft or the second floor has a master bedroom and a fully equipped kitchen while the ground floor comes with a master and guest bedroom as well as a 2-person bubble tub.
