When you visit Costa Rica, you want to see the amazing volcanoes. Although there are over one hundred volcanoes, only about seven may be considered active. A famous volcano found in Costa Rica is Irazu. People who vacation in Costa Rica want to see the volcano that is considered the most active. Although you are a distance from the volcano, you can see the beauty that surrounds the volcano. Tourists as well as scientist will sit for hours and just watch the volcano and glaze about the area from a cliff top. It is a great way to plan a picnic and watch the area. This volcano is located by San Jose.

Many people travel to Costa Rica and want a little something different than staying in a hotel. The villas of Costa Rica are just as nice to stay at and offer more of a homey feeling. Some of these villas offer daily maid service and concierge services. You can find villas that are all-inclusive or just inclusive. They are very nice and many people prefer this accommodation when visiting Costa Rica. The villas allow for more freedom with kitchen set-ups and separate living rooms and bedrooms. This is also a nice way to travel with the kids.

In Costa Rica, you will find over thirty museums to fill your days. They have artifacts and art works. They show the culture and they have animal museums as well. You could plan your entire vacation around these museums and still experience the life in Costa Rica. The San Jose are has many different museums. Museo de Oro Precolombino is an underground museum, which display’s gold figurines. You will see insects, frogs, snakes, birds, sharks, lobsters and crocodiles in gold. It is a very unusual museum. Unless you have been to Costa Rica, you probably have never seen anything like this before.

You want to experience some of the nightlife in Costa Rica for sure. It is unlike anything you have ever seen. There is one thing for sure, you will find the nightlife intriguing and uplifting. Some of the different types of nightlife you will find are bullfights, concerts, jazz bars, casinos, bars, clubs and theatre. There is after all something for everyone. You can dance, you can sit and enjoy the surroundings and have a few specially drinks. If you want something a little more subtle, you might enjoy the museums and the cinemas or a night on the beach watching the waves roll onto the beach.

If you are visiting Costa Rica, you will want to explore some of the cuisine in the area. There are many restaurants and some are superb in their preparation and delivery of your meals. The foods are tasty and you will find that the coffee or other beverages enhance the meals. You can find these restaurants in the hotels or in the nearby areas. Even if your hotel has a restaurant, you are going want to venture out and dine at some of the other establishments. It is always nice to taste different types of cuisine and the preparations are different from place to place.

One thing that always impresses visitors to Costa Rica is the coffee processing plant and the coffee farms. You can take a tour of the coffee farm and follow the process all the way into the processing plant to see al the steps taken to produce a fine tasting coffee. The tour guides are full of information about the coffee farms and are eager to point out things that the average eye would not see. It is truly an experience whether you enjoy coffee or not. Seeing the large coffee farms leaves you with some knowledge about the work and time that goes into providing a quality tasting coffee.

If you plan your trip to Costa Rica, you might consider taking one of the many tour packages that they have to offer. If you plan an eleven-day tour, you might start at the Grano de Oro Hotel in San Jose. You could spend the night dining and shopping around the center of the city. The next day you might enjoy the river excursion on the Pacuare River. The beauty of the river is something you will not forget. The river is classified a class III and IV for rapids. Therefore, you should maybe take a guided raft tour. The tour can be planned for two days.

You also might be up for some adventure and would prefer seeing some of the underwater coral reefs. The beach is beautiful with its white sandy beachfront and the waters are as blue as blue can be. The coral reefs are so beautiful and water enthusiasts explore the reefs and see the many different species of marine life that live by the reefs.
