What you need to take as far as bait and fishing equipment depends on the type of fish you want to catch. The top fish that anglers travel to Canada for are muskie, walleye, lake trout and northern pike. The guides in Canada fishing camps and at some lodges recommend Vanish test line for leaders because sometimes the braided lines will startle the fish and you will not catch many fish. If you are fishing for muskies, you want to have at least a fifty-pound test line. If you plan to fish for pike, you want to use thirty pound test line.
